Before moving up to Byron I lived in a little brick art deco flat in Bondi Beach. The flat was my own little slice of heaven. It had a sun-room I used for painting, stained-glass windows and perfectly scuffed dark wood floorboards throughout. It was a north facing apartment on the top floor of an intimate 4-apartment block, and light spilled in through three sides of the flat – I loved that little place dearly. It was a home base and a sanctuary while living in bustling the little village that is Bondi Beach.
While I lived in Sydney, as happy as I was, I always felt there was something missing in my life, creatively. I finally found that creative outlet (and more!) when I moved up here to Byron, but there’s still a little piece of my heart down in Bondi, not to mention a few kindred spirits, girlfriends who still fly the flag for me down in our little corner of the Eastern Suburbs.
I’ve been holding out to get Spell in a Bondi boutique that really works with our brand – and we’ve finally found that with Museum. The store is gorgeously decked out and stocks some gorgeous boho labels mixed in with the obligatory Bondi cool. If you’re in the area it’s definitely worth a pop in, on your way back from the beach, ice-cream in hand…
